Who I See

I see children, adolescents and adults. Young children really seem to enjoy my office with its shelves of sand tray figures, sand tray and art supplies. I enjoy adolescents who can be challenging and creative as they respond well to art therapy and the exploration of their issues with less talk.

Family work is very special to me as it is very distressing to live with daily arguments, lack of respect and little cooperation. Families come for guidance and I may see everyone, the parents alone or the children alone. My practice also involves working with both individuals and couples. The therapeutic work sometimes includes art therapy and experiential work as well as counseling techniques. I also teach parenting and life skills classes to the general public, groups and agencies.

As a former junior high school and high school teacher, I offer tutoring to students with learning differences and cognitive delays. I specialize in teaching solid learning skills that include topics such as time management, prioritizing, and assignment completion.
