Appointments
 

I like to offer you a free half-hour to meet and discuss the concerns you might have.

Our first couple of appointments can be seen as assessment and evaluation sessions. At this time we both decide whether we are a good match for your counseling work and issues. If either of us determines that this is not a good fit, I will be happy to provide you with the names of other professionals in the area for referral.

 

Therapy appointments are usually 50-55 minutes in length. Since the scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time specifically for you, I ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice for rescheduling or canceling an appointment. Without 24 hours notice of cancellation, clients are generally charged the regular session fee.

Clients
My hourly fee is $90 per session. Generally, I do not bill insurance and I will be happy to provide you with a receipt to submit to them. It is important to note that insurance companies require a diagnosis to be made. This may or may not be your preference. If you do not know what your mental health benefits are, please contact your insurance company about their policy and your coverage. I am able to occasionally offer a sliding scale fee for ongoing clients. If you feel you cannot afford my full fee, we will work together to determine a reasonable amount.

 

Unless other arrangements have been made, full fee is expected at the time of your session. Payment may be made by cash, check or credit card. Missed appointments are charged at the regular rate.
 
Students
My fee for tutoring or coaching students is $50 per session. Students include children and adolescents up to the age of 18.
